Samanda has photographed thousands of people and places as a newspaper staff photographer, editor, and photo editor at newspapers around the U.S. She has a Master of Arts from the School of Visual Communication at Ohio University, and a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and photojournalism from San Jose State University. She is the faculty advisor for the student newspaper at Solano Community College. Samanda is based in Napa, California.
